Oasis might cooperate with Kasabian!

That sounds great, and there is a great possibility to come true. All these happened at KROQ-FM's Inland Invasion.. Noel said: "A lot of things are said in dressing rooms at 4 o'clock in the morning when you're drunk,".

Earlier at the fest, Kasabian said they had talked with Gallagher about possibly recording their sophomore album at his studio with the Oasis mastermind producing. But as Gallagher pointed out, it could've been the beer talking. Or maybe not.

"We're talking about doing some stuff with them, but I don't know that anything will come of that," Gallagher said. "They are more than welcome in my studio, and there's a chance I might be doing some songs. I hope it does [happen] — it will be great."

Lets see what will happen if these two bands cooperate. If there is a good chemistry, the result will be very.. hot!

Antony and the Johnsons have won this year's Mercury Music Prize for the album "I Am A Bird Now".

Led by New York-based singer Antony Hegarty, they beat acts including Coldplay, favourites Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party.
The £20,000 award is for the best album of the year by a British or Irish act.
"I think they must have made a mistake," Antony said. "I am completely overwhelmed. I think that's insane."
"It's kind of like a crazy contest between an orange and a spaceship and a potted plant and a spoon - which one do you like better?" he said.
"What's really exciting about this night is just this wonderful biennial that shows the rich diversity of the spectrum of music that's going on at the moment.
"It's been so wonderful to be here and just to meet everyone. I just love so many of the artists performing tonight, I think it's a bit bonkers to just give it to one person."
He performed at the Mercury award ceremony in London's Grosvenor House Hotel, as did fellow nominees Kaiser Chiefs, KT Tunstall, Seth Lakeman, Bloc Party, Polar Bear, Maximo Park, The Magic Numbers and the Go! Team.
Multi-million selling band Coldplay, nominated for their third album X&Y, could not attend the ceremony as they were on tour in the US.
Previous winners of the Mercury prize Primal Scream, PJ H Simon Frith, chairman of the judges, said Antony and the Johnsons won because they produced "such an extraordinary album".
The Mercury Prize was not designed to pick the least offensive album, he said, but to pick "a record that's really interesting, and this one is".

What did other musicians said:
"When I first heard him I knew I was in the presence of an angel," said Lou Reed.
"His amazing band contributes to one extraordinary experience of musical wit, depth and, most of all, beauteous heart."
Laurie Anderson has echoed her partner's comments, calling Anthony and the Johnsons "my favourite band in the whole world right now".
"Listening to Anthony's voice is like hearing Elvis for the first time," she said.
"When he sings it is the most exquisite thing that you will hear in your life."
"I Am A Bird Now is my favourite album this year," Portishead singer Beth Gibbons has told the BBC News website.
"I felt its honesty immediately and had not been that touched by music in a long time.
"He has expressed how I feel about being a woman better than I have myself and created an unnerving, unworldly yet direct impression of our fear of death and life's solitude."

Mercury Music Prize 2005 nominees:
· Antony and the Johnsons - I Am A Bird Now
· Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
· Coldplay - X&Y
· The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike
· Hard-Fi - Stars of CCTV
· Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
· KT Tunstall - Eye to the Telescope
· The Magic Numbers - The Magic Numbers
· Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger
· MIA - Arular
· Polar Bear - Held on the Tips of Fingers
· Seth Lakeman - Kitty Jay Did

Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang

Allthough this album was released in August, i finally listened at it, a week ago and had a review for it at And I can clearly see that is one of the best albums of the last 10 years, probably the most significant release of 21th century. In "A Bigger Bang" we can find cute ballads, rock hits, funky rythyms, beautiful melodies. It is a classic Rolling Stones, maybe the best album of Rock Grandpas since Exile on Main Street.

The well known distorted guitars of Keith Richards, the falcetto of Jagger and his great harmonica, give the album a great power.

I loved the rock "It Wont Take Long", the ballads "This Place is Empty" (Keith sings great) and "Laugh I nearly Died". Besides the funky "Rain Fall Down" was great.

If you love Rolling Stones, you should listen at it. Simply a kind of magic!

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson writes a song for Katrina!

Michael Jackson is working hard with a new single dedicated to the tragedy of Katrina, in New Orleans. In his interview for Associated Press he says that he's "moving full speed ahead" on the single.

There is a major problem: Who will cooperate with him, who will support his honest (?) efforts. In 1985, in "We Are the World" — the 1985 charity hit, co-written by Jackson quickly drew participation from such heavy hitters as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Willie Nelson, Billy Joel and Paul Simon. But now no artist has confirmed participation to his effort.

Stay tuned, for more news for Michael Jackson!

Black Sabbath

Plans for a new Black Sabbath album seem to sink!

Tony Iommi thinks that, finaly, it would be very difficult for Black Sabbath to release a new album. Black Sabbath were in Wales for the recording of a new album. But progress was slow, and by the time the bandmembers went their separate ways, they had ideas for about only six songs. So, at present Black Sabbath have no more plans for recording these six or any other songs.

That was the reason that Tony Iommi released a new album with Glen Hughes, called "Fused".

So, everybody should wait for a long time before a brand new Black Sabbath album is ready.

Worldwide tour by Gorillaz!

Gorillaz, one of the stranger bands in the history of music, are planning to begin a worldwide tour. It's a cartoon band, and many believe that it is the perfect group for the new age music. The project of Damon (Alburn) and Jamie (Hewlett) will start a special tour which will include many technological innovations. The cartoons will appear on stage like 3D holographic format, and many other special effects will create an impressive show.

Allthough, due to some troubles, this tour won't start till 2007, the fans of the "band" will be able to enjoy them at the end of October when, a showcase event in which the group will perform a version of "Feel Good Inc." (the most succesfull hit of Gorillaz) will be held in London.

Peter Townshend

Peter Townshend delays the release of a new Who album.

The Who, one of the most significant group in rock history, are back for a new album. To be more specific, Roger Daltrey (vocals) and Peter Townshend (guitar) formed The Who2 in order to create a new record at 2006. But Townshend said that it would take much more time to get to the studio, because there are a lot of problems with Daltrey. He actually said that "for every ten songs he writes, just one is right for fertilization by Roger; and for every ten they record, four sadly die at birth."

He suggests that it will take about 5 years for a new record to be released.. It seems that The Who fans have to be patient..

Bad Words for Coldplay

The members of Coldplay, are very dissapointed by the negative reviews for their last album "X and Y". Vocalist, Chris Martin, says that they are going to answer to all these bad comments. He also admits that all these made them feel so sad. He was especially dissapointed by the review of the magazine Rolling Stone and the newspaper New York Post.

I 've heard their last album and i liked it, but i think that it is worse than their previous album (so many diamonds: "Clocks", "Politiks" etc). Undoubtely its a good album..

I would suggest that you listen to this album.. EnJoy!
