As for the lyrics, Ashcroft told Xfm, "There's a lot of different topics and things I'm going into, and for a time I was thinking about that very English way of writing tunes back from '65 and '66. The Stones, The Beatles, [all the songs] have a bit of Dylan twisted-ness in the sound, but they retain an Englishness to them."

Aschroft will be on tour with Coldplay (we watched them on stage at live 8). Here is the schedule of his tour:

John Lennon's remasters and more!

John Lennon, remains a hot celebrity many years after his death. The 70s lps Sometime in New York and Walls and Bridges (the last two solo albums that weren'r remastered) are now reissued. They are going to be released at Nov 22 with the Label of Capitol Records.

Speaking of the new remasters, in a recent press release, Yoko Ono said: "I decided that the Fillmore performance should end without going into the long avant-garde improvisation. I wanted John to have the last voice on the album, spreading his childhood over us. If you miss the 'freak out' part...just put a microphone to the many battlefields in the world. You will hear everything - children crying, guys shouting, and the occasional silence created by the dead."

Besides there are plans for a movie about Mark David Chapman (the murderer of Lennon) and the days before the murder of rock superstar. Jared Leto will star as Chapman and the title of the film will be "Chapter 27" (a reference to the copy of Catcher in the Rye that Chapman was carrying at the time of the murder).

Finally NBC's Dateline has programmed a two-hour documentary to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the rock idol's tragic death. Set to feature previously-unheard audio recordings of Lennon's killer discussing the murder of the artist and his reasoning behind it, the show will air this Friday, November 18 at 8:00pm EST.

Courtney Love works on new tracks!

Courtney Love was Kurt Cobain's wife before he died. But she is also a great singer. She announced that she has 8 new songs which can be the beggining of a new album that will follow the 2004's "American Sweetheart". She had the convinience of having much free time and that gave her the opportunity or writing new songs.

She told The Guardian: "I've had nothing but time in here. There's not a lot of activities. You have to make your own fn and my fun is my guitar so I'm down to it and I have to really question what it is I do for a living. Primarily I do two things: I act and I sing, and if I don't do those things well then I don't know what my objective is."

So we should expect for a new album in the next months..

Audioslave, the band of ex RATM Tom Morello, is in the best shape ever. 10 more shows remain on their first U.S. headlining tour, and guitarist Tom Morello said that they have "never played better together". But it is more important that the group is in a very creative mood. They wrote "about 20 songs in various stages of togetherness" over the course of a month this past summer.

Tom Morello

Audioslave have been performing some of this fresh material. It will be recorded and released into the band's third LP which will be a live one. Morello said: "We've been rotating about five that we're comfortable enough to play live". "We've been playing one a night" he explained.

Rammstein's new Album!!

Rammstein are back with a new dynamite album, who will satisfy the fans of the group. It is called "Rosenrot" and i think it is fascinating. Many lovers of industrial music consider Rammstein as the best band in this genre. Great distorted guitars, keyboards that take your breath, give great advantages to the album.

We should check "Spring" and "Halfmir" which are maybe the best tracks of the album. The "dirty" "Benzin", "Zerstoren" and "Mann Gegen Mann" are also great. They have also a ballad with english lyrics sang by vocalist Sharleen Spiteri. This cd is released in a limited edition, which contains also a live DVD with 3 songs (Reise Reise, Mein Teil and Sonne).
